Philanthropy’s Royal Tea Recap & Thank You

The Philanthropy Committee is pleased to report that the Royal Tea was a resounding success, thanks to a myriad of wonderful Women of Nassau donors, workers, and attendees!  Our chosen charity, “Chandler’s Hope”, designed one of the 15 beautifully decorated tables with the table title being “It Takes a Kingdom” an appropriate mantra for garnering the results we hoped for: raising $5000 for the purchase of a dual axle trailer. What actually happened is Women of Nassau outdid themselves once again – we raised $6635, exceeding our goal by over 20%!

The generosity of so many women donating their time, talent and creativity to develop a Royal Tea offered the opportunity to wear a beautiful spring outfit, some with hats or fascinators, to enjoy one of the lovely, individually decorated tables with three tiered trays of tea sandwiches, scones and petit fours as well as delicious tea. Participants were encouraged to try their luck winning one of 14 exciting raffle baskets, with a combined value of over $3000!
