PROGRAM BY Amelia Island Whale Ambassadors
Presented by Theresa Hartz, an Amelia Island Whale Ambassadors, who will speak to us about Right Whales which migrate to Amelia Island every winter to give birth and nurture their calves. The AI Whale Ambassadors' goal is to introduce and educate Amelia Islanders about the Right Whale, which are an endangered species. Even though the North Atlantic Right Whale is bigger than a school bus, they are very difficult to see when boating. So, like the turtles, they are an important part of our island culture.
Theresa will discuss the whales, how they get to Amelian island every year and why; why they are endangered; and the Amelia Island Whale Festival and other events that take place each year.

We had another great turnout for our Olive Amelia luncheon on July 15 at the Amelia Island Museum of History. As requested, below are the recipes being shared of the tasty treats we enjoyed:
FYI -
Brownies: Dark Chocolate Box mix and substitute the Ilive Amelia Blood Orange Oil for half of the vegetable oil the recipe calls for on the box.
White Chocolate Peppermint dessert is a mix available at Olive Amelia - it can be served in a chocolate pie shell or as a dessert ball.
Cole slaw - simply fresh cabbage shredded and Olive Amelia Adam's Apple Cider Slaw mix added
